Energy management400+ meters · multi-tenant
Multi-tenant EMS — 400+ energy meters streaming every second across client sites.
KMS runs as a shared Energy Management System across multiple clients. 400+ energy meters stream readings into KMS at one-second resolution — feeding per-tenant real-time dashboards, threshold alerts on power factor, voltage and demand, and auto-scheduled energy reports. Tenant-isolated RBAC keeps each client's data cleanly partitioned on the same platform.
The challenge
- Energy data scattered across hundreds of meters at multiple client sites
- No central visibility — each client running its own (or no) EMS
- Real-time monitoring impractical; data pulled hourly at best
- Alerts on PF, voltage sag and demand spikes routinely missed
- Reporting was manual end-of-month spreadsheet exports
What we did
- Stood up KMS as a multi-tenant EMS with tenant-isolated RBAC
- Connected 400+ meters via Modbus / IEC 61850 / OPC UA — every reading streamed at one-second resolution
- Built per-client live dashboards: kW · kVA · kVAR · PF · frequency · harmonics
- Wired threshold + rate-of-change alerts to SMS, email and webhook channels
- Auto-scheduled daily, weekly and monthly energy reports per tenant — bills, audits, ESG
The results
- 400+ meters live, every second, across multiple clients on one platform
- Real-time visibility lets each ops team spot anomalies the moment they happen
- Alerts on PF, voltage and demand fire instantly — operators react, not autopsy
- Monthly bills and ESG reports auto-generated — no manual spreadsheet pulls
- Onboarding a new tenant is now hours, not weeks — same stack, isolated data

“We treat KMS as our energy backbone. Every meter at every client lands here at one-second resolution. Dashboards, alerts and monthly bills all come out of the same platform — and onboarding the next client takes an afternoon, not a quarter.”
